Sure, you can take tram 5 at Qbic, hop off at Leidseplein and dive into the first bar, where you probably won’t see too many locals because of the amount of tourists with the same brainwave, but it’s better, or should we say more fun, to visit one of the following clubs or stages in Amsterdam for a top-notch performance.

Paradiso

Paradiso is a music and cultural venue in a former church that has been an institute in Amsterdam for more than 40 years. Which artists perform here? Or rather, which ones don’t? … Big names such as David Bowie, Prince, the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Lady Gaga, and the Rolling Stones have performed here. Paradiso also has a keen eye for lesser-known artists, and you just might be able to say a few years down the line, when that unknown artist has reached global fame, ‘Remember, back then, that show in Amsterdam? We were there!’

Canvas

On the seventh floor of the former Volkskrant office, Club Canvas is waiting for you. A restaurant and bar during the day, it mixes things up from 11:00 PM, moving the tables aside, and pumping the volume up. This is the perfect place if you want a night out of eating, drinking, and partying without changing location.

Melkweg

It doesn’t matter whether you party the roof off during a legendary DJ’s set, or whether you’ve got a soft spot for a pop artist dominating the charts, in the Melkweg you will undoubtedly have the night of your life. Housed in a former milk factory, the surroundings are anything but dull.

Shelter

When you’re swinging to and fro on the top of the A’DAM Toren tower and enjoying one of the most breathtaking views of the city, you may not realize that there is a hidden world concealed below the foot of the tower. A trap door reveals the way to the Shelter club, with an ace underground vibe.

Bitterzoet

Combine a bar, stage, and theatre and you get club Bitterzoet. One day might have hip-hop on the programme, with a rock band or funk and soul DJ entertaining the next. Qbic team tip: check the Bitterzoet programme beforehand so you can make the most of your night.

One thing is certain, if your night out takes you to one of these places in Amsterdam, you’ll undoubtedly have a great night’s sleep in your Qbic hotel in Amsterdam.
