Starting at £65 a person for the afternoon, bread courses cover Italian, French, Nordic, absolute beginners and of course the mighty sourdough. If you’ve more of a sweet tooth, there’s a dedicated brownie workshop, as well as lessons in building the perfect layered croissant. The pièce de résistance however has to be Justin Gellatly’s doughnut workshop. The pudding master, Gellatly made a name for himself at St John’s bakery before moving over to Bread Ahead and publishing his own cook book.
