Apparently London is the greenest city in Europe/the world/western civilisation, depending on what you read. But we can always do with an extra dose of nature, as Secret Productions and Wayward well know. As a result they have joined forces to create Farmopolis, and working with the RHS Chelsea Flower Show have re-homed tens of thousands of their plants on the banks of the Thames. This fabulous floating garden is a hub for farming, food and culture, and as well as being a much needed oasis for our smog ridden capital will host a year-round programme of chef pop-ups, workshops, live music, talks, theatre and cinema that will transform the jetty into a hub of creativity and well-being.
Launching on Saturday 30th July with a whole host of artistic, cultural and foodie events, guests will have the opportunity to get a feel for what’s going on over the next few months. There will be children’s shows by Arcola Theatre, scholarly hi-jinx from Literary Death Match, live music curated by Mahogany Sessions, face-painting, a botanical jewellery class, dream potion making, and workshops from Quodo and Biomodd, before the programme really kicks off with talks from Creative Mornings, RoundTable Global and School of Life, as well as leather working classes, life drawing, ceramic making, playwriting workshops and much more. There will also be yoga classes, hula school, a natural remedies workshop, life drawing, floristry, screen-printing, playwriting, ceramics, photography, woodworking, edible hats, and the awesome sounding pirate gardening. Oh, and the rather intriguing The Secret Sex Life of Wildflowers from Arcola. For more information please visit
