Already the giants of Twentieth Century American art are in town for the (wonderful) Abstract Expressionist show at the Royal Academy. Now the other big mid-century movement is on show in the Capital: Pop Art. It feels slightly odd that a show as jam-packed with big names as this (Andy Warhol, Jasper Johns, Robert Rauschenberg and Ed Ruscha are all present and correct) is at a museum rather than a gallery but the British Museum’s high ceilings and spacious rooms make it the perfect place for a show as bright and colourful as this.
