Howard Schultz once said “I was taken back by the power that savouring a simple cup of coffee can have to connect people and create community”, that being said there’s no better way to bring the community together than having a whole festival dedicated to coffee! London coffee festival is back for its seventh year this April from the 6th-9th, taking centre stage right on our doorstep at Old Truman Brewery, Brick Lane for various sessions between 10am-10pm.
Since London became recognized as an exciting city to explore on the world coffee map a group of cool individuals decided to create the London Coffee Festival. Over 7,000 visitors and 100 exhibitors come together to celebrate and appreciate the background, blends and flavours of coffee! This year is set to be even bigger…
What to expect …
Like all great festivals, it kicks off with an Espresso martini party headlined by Norman Jay, so coffee flavoured cocktails and great music! There’s of course a few other activities that would be pretty cool to check out, like Live Latte Art, School of Chocolate, Coffee Art Project, Barista Workshops and one of our favourites The Coffee Meets Whiskey find out more here.
The global barista tournament coffee masters also makes a return this time with 20 contenders competing in 7 disciplines, but there can be only 1 winner, how’s that for some healthy competition?!
As if that’s not enough the Shoreditch Grind [link] will have a pop up restaurant at the festival which will feature a dedicated tailored menu pairing the perfect meals with the best coffee.
Times vary according to dates, tickets are available online
So you can expect good food, cool drinks, great vibes and of course only the best coffee!
