London Fashion Week Mens 2018

Qbic Recommends | Best Things to Do in London | Qbic London City

London is the fashion capital, London Fashion Week Men’s is an opportunity to discover some extraordinarily talented people, giving them the platform to showcase their creativity and thoughts.

The weekend brings an added buzz to the city with shows, presentations, installations, events and parties. January 2018 is the twelfth edition of the London menswear showcase, welcoming international retailers, press, designers, media outlets, BFC patrons, industry partners and government to the home of LFWM, hosted at 180 The Strand.

This season LFWM is all about discovery – the exploration of the unfound or unknown. The Store Studios is the hub of activity, housing the main British Fashion Council Show Space & Presentation space, designer showrooms including ready-to-wear and accessories and the NEWGEN Pop-UP Showroom, plus the DiscoveryLAB.

A new addition in 2018 is The DiscoveryLAB, an experiential zone for thinkers, makers, explorers and innovators across the landscape of technology, fashion, art and performance. The space allows creatives to take over the space and construct an environment of exploration and investigation, underpinning LFWM’s relevance beyond the fashion world.

The space is repeatedly transformed to establish new ways for the audience to connect with and discover brands. Amongst these creatives is Bethany Williams who debuts her fashion documentary project with LCF, supporting the San Patriano project in Italy, teaching textile production skills to a women’s substance abuse rehabilitation project. Bethany uses her sustainable credentials to recycle the waste materials created by the factory to create sustainable textile solutions and any profits that are made from her collection are then re-invested into the project.

Timothy Han/Edition creates an experiential bar with edible perfumes, each scent is broken down into three distinct stages, inspired by Jack Kerouac’s iconic 1957 novel On the Road, each stage represents a leg of Kerouac’s journey across America. Walking through space allows you to experience the trip, enhanced by moving images and immersive music, it also allows you to understand how the fragrance unfolds on your skin over time.
