When it comes to clubland, there aren’t many better informed characters than Bill Brewster. As co-author of Last Night A DJ Saved My Life (with Frank Broughton, with whom he ran the much-missed Low Life parties and DJHistory.com), he’s interviewed so many of the people who created the culture, so he’s the perfect person to explore tonight’s theme: London clubs from Crackers, a shakedown for suburban soulboys run by George Power in the 70s, to fabric, the club that more than any other bought professional production values to what was always an underground music venue (and hopefully will be again soon). Joining him for the discussion are UK house music hero Terry Farley, liquid dubstep don Fabio and Shaun Roberts, FABRICLIVE’s promoter.
