SOUTH POLE SALOON
Another rooftop transformed for the winter season, Brixton Beach is nothing but a distant memory as it re-emerges as The South Pole Saloon. A debauched dive bar offering stunning cocktails, warming street food, interactive entertainment and festive DJ’s. Tickets start from £5 per person and there is also the option of hiring secret wooden cabins. Head to the heart of Brixton to see where Christmas goes to get naughty!

QUEEN OF HOXTON’S MOROCCAN MEDINA
Inspired by the Majorelle garden in Marrakesh this winter Hoxton’s hideaway rooftop is decorated with giant cacti, fire pits and pretty fairy lights and lanterns. Keep warm by climbing into the (not very Moroccan) wigwam snug, cosy up amongst the luxurious cushions and sample some gin-spiked Casablancan mint tea or a Spiced Hot Buttered Rum. Cooking up Halloumi fries, Lamb and Apricot Tagine and Rainbow Vegan Mezze Boards all served in sustainable packaging from plants which are fully compostable – we approve!
THE ETHICUREAN AT THE GARDEN SOCIETY ROOFTOP
Hidden on top of the John Lewis store on Oxford Street you will find London’s version of a ‘village green’ complete with Christmas trees dripping in vintage baubles and festive lights. Find the award-winning Ethicurean restaurant serving seasonal, ethically-sourced winter dishes such as Welsh Rarebit with winter leaves and Truffle and Porcini mushroom pork sausages with butter mash potato, cider and onion sauce. A perfect spot to escape and relax in after that last minute shop and get away from the heaving crowds of Christmas shoppers.

WOODY BEAR ROOFTOP
Calling all cheese and cocktail fans… Find this pop-up rooftop bar/ restaurant through a secret entrance on Oxford Street near Marble Arch. Summer’s Sisu bar has been transformed, complete with fairground ride booths, swings and a coin-operated cocktail dispenser serving hot gin punch. With food brought to you by Madame & Monsieur, cheese fans can choose from cheesy croquet sandwiches and raclette wheels.
SOCIAL FUN & GAMES CLUB @ ROOF EAST
This year it seems London has gone crazy for igloos (or perhaps to be more precise: PVC domes constructed into an igloo form) regardless, you can experience these human snow globes at Roof East and stay warm whilst enjoying views of the city from the 8th floor. If you don’t manage to get a reservation for one of these igloos you can still stay warm in the 80’s inspired après-ski lodge serving up winter cocktails and ski shots (literally a row of shots on a ski). 80’s and 90’s neon ski wear is encouraged and why not try a hand at the Winter Olympic sport: Curling? Featuring six neon-lit, synthetic ice curling lanes, accompanied by an ice-cool soundtrack.
