Record buying – particularly vinyl, has seen a hefty resurgence of late. Record shops have moved on from the mini disc and CD leaving the shelves to take the strain of 180g virgin re-issue’s, second hand collections and other new releases. Record Store Day is in its tenth year and is a celebration of music, recording collecting and all things indie. This year’s many new releases include a Fawlty Towers picture disc; a rare live Alice Coltrane record; and an excellent two-LP release of Dennis Wilson’s shelved second album Bambu. These releases plus many others are only available on this magical day. A list of all UK RSD releases can found here. Help out your local independent record store and join in with 10 years of musical fun.
