A live art exhibition. How bloody modern! Over a ten-day stretch, the Tate Modern’s Vaults will be transformed into an transient exhibition space with all sorts of shapeshifting works by international artists. Berlin-based performance artist and DJ Isabel Lewis, renowned for her ‘occasions’ – constructed environments involving perfume, music, food and drink that turn the viewer into a participant – will be in residence for the entirety; while 83-year-old Japanese artist Fujiko Nakaya has created an immersive fog that will cover the south terrace and become a space for performances and general spookiness.
Evening film screenings, performances and talks take up the ‘six nights’ side of things; an opportunity for some artsy hobnobbing with a glass of wine, which is probably the best way to truly immersive yourself in the exhibition. Get on it!
