Pace London is leading the way when it comes to immersive light-based art in the capital. Their James Turrell show was a triumph of optical illusion and now teamLab take the whole shebang a step further. This 500-strong collective, made up of artists as diverse as musicians, illustrators and digital artists, have taken three of Pace’s rooms and transformed them into a colourful combination of nature and science. In the main room a waterfall is projected on the far wall as electronic flowers bloom on the bodies of the viewer. In room two five screens show an ever-changing panorama of waves crashing, with the same meditative effect as staring into a log fire. And in the final room the floor explodes into colour beneath your feet. It’s immersive, overwhelming and very, very lovely. Don’t miss.
