1. Deadly Rhythm Halloween, 28 October, Bussey Building, SE15.
Kicking things off on Friday, head to Peckham party stronghold Bussey Building for Deadly Rhythm’s (a name that really pays out this time of year) spooky bash. Iconic UK house producers Mood II Swing top the bill with a rare DJ set, while support comes from All Caps label boss Bake and the Rye Wax and Deadly Rhythm crews. Expect upfront beats, weirdness, and good vibes all night.
2. Secretsundaze Mad Scientist Lab Halloween Party, 29 October, Oval Space, E2.
Stripping the line-up back to Berghain/Panorama Bar resident Ryan Elliot and Secretsundaze’ own James and Giles, the focus here is on proper house and techno set against a lavish backdrop of creepy delights. Given the party’s reputation and Oval Space’s cavernous proportions, this promises to be a monster of a night.
Dress code: “insane, eccentric and villainous.”
Get the look: sexy zombie Frankenstein Donald Trump.
3. Hydra x LWE: Drumcode Halloween After Dark, 29 October, Studio Spaces, E1.
One to make you think very, very strategically about your costume, the night session to Drumcode’s LWE daytime blowout brings the label’s head honcho, Adam Beyer, plus friends Alan Fitzpatrick, Julia Govor, Marcel Fengler, Sam Paganini and Stacey Pullen to Wapping rave bunker Studio Spaces. It’s underground and you’re going to be dancing to pounding, pounding, pounding techno. That sexy zombie Henry VIII costume will boil you alive.
4. Krankbrother present Never Be Found Out, 29 October, TBA – East.
How novel it feels to write “TBA – East London” in the location field in 2016! No more those halcyon days of never knowing where the hell you were going until the day before; and then, after a hasty change of venue, not until mere minutes before the start time…. But we digress. Joining Krankbrother here to spin house and disco are Horse Meat Disco, Fort Romeau and Damiano von Erckert, in the environs of an as yet rave-dirt-untainted venue with a giant disco ball, a runway and a party posse of drag queens and disco divas.
Dress code: “spooky”.
Get the look: sexy zombie gold lamé Donald Trump.
5. Halloween Weekender, 28 & 29 October, The Adam & Eve, E9.
Looking for something more low-key? Trendy (but no, actually in a good way) Homerton Boozer The Adam & Eve is hosting two free (FREE!) Halloween parties over the weekend. Friday night is hip-hop while Saturday is all about psych and indie. Go and get sloshed on fancy beer, shake yourself about a bit and chat in a less shouting-directly-at-the-eardrum kind of way.
