London’s rooftops are re-opening their doors to this seasons hotspots! Find out where to get your vitamin D fix with London city views, summer cocktails, workshops and discos, alongside some weird and wonderful themes from a neon-Vegas sin city to a tropical flamingo-filled roundabout!
The London Gherkin is easily spottable from Qbic, but take a right down Commercial Street and you’ll find that there is a new gherkin in town! Less than a 5-minute walk, located on top of The Culpeper pub is a rooftop pickle paradise, in collaboration with Studio Stilton. Find an eight-foot fibre glass pickle surrounded by a cucumber garden. Cucumbers will be served up on the menu or preserved for the winter. Power to the pickle!
THE MAGIC ROUNDABOUT
Located literally in the middle of Old Street Roundabout and accessed via a secret staircase within the tube station, find a tropical-themed, flamingo-filled bar offering award winning street food, artisan coffee, craft beers and summer cocktails! Stay tuned for themed events happening throughout the summer where DJs from some of London’s biggest clubs will be taking over the decks!
London’s best adventure playground for grown-ups – Roof East, has re-opened its doors for the summer season! Enjoy crazy golf, hip-hop bowl, street food and cocktails with views of the Olympic Park and glorious sunsets. Grab a deck chair and observe the circus inspired madness!
THE LOST VEGAS ROOFTOP
The Queen of Hoxton has transformed its rooftop into a neo-hippy version of Las Vegas, set in the year 2030! Meet Elvis in an overgrown Little Vegas Wedding Chapel, gorge on a loaded vegan hotdog from an abandoned yellow school bus bar, play the slot machines or check out the Lost Vegas vending machines for boozy ice pops, canned cocktails, wedding rings and divorce certificates. This summer will also host a series of immersive events from sustainable living workshops to headphones discos.
Golden Bee is a popular cocktail bar with a stunning rooftop terrace and lounge bar. Located in Shoreditch minutes away from Old Street station (10-15 min walk from Qbic). A perfect spot for after work drinks or a night out, enjoy delicious cocktails around the fire pit with views over Shoreditch and if you fancy a dance they have a resident DJ playing the very best commercial house music each weekend.
