So there’s that big debate whether Wimbledon is a sports event or social event… we vote both obviously! Tennis is a sport after all but of course the whole wimbledon experience is more than just tennis and always ends up in the London events calendar.
For those who are in it for the Tennis Championship games, they take place between July 3rd – July 16th. Those who are in it for the Pimms and strawberries well we got you covered in our Bar + Kitchen. And those who just want to experience the event socially here is a list of places you can go to for outdoor screenings.
This year marks the 140th anniversary of Wimbledon and the Championships take place at the All England Lawn Tennis Club. And you too can get yourself to the games… Yes there’s a chance for you last minuters to attend. There’s the option of waking up early and getting a ticket on ticketmaster since they’re releasing 300 tickets every morning. If that’s a bit of hassle for you then just get your glad rags on and head over to the court to queue (before 9:30am) and hope to purchase one of the 500 on the day under £20 tickets.
