The lido is a glorious open air heated swimming pool that really comes into its own as the London sunshine makes an appearance. It’s one of the last remaining old fashioned open air public lidos that still operate, drawing in all sorts of swimmers with different speed lanes, ranging from those making the most of its 50 metre lanes, to the more gentle swimmers looking to have a refreshing paddle.
Its opening times vary throughout the year, depending on the amount of sunlight around at the time, but tends to open around 8am.
We’d recommend an early morning paddle on a Saturday morning, followed by sorting the post-swim hunger with a food and coffee wander through nearby Broadway market or E5 Bakehouse. Both are extremely close to the pool.
