Perhaps the distillation of Shoreditch, and simultaneously symbolises why some adore the area but also what invites criticism for others.

The name comes from the former bag and shoe wholesalers from the 1980s when Shoreditch was little more than a run down trading area. The owners have kept the original sign in a lovely nod to the recent past.

It’s now a popular spot for coffee, pizzas and pastas during the day, and transforms into a bar in the evening. The sublime stone-baked pizzas offer a pleasant stop during the day, or it can also work as something quite different in the evening: a delicious pizza at the end of a night of knocking back the cocktails.

DBJS also operates a popular exhibition space, with frequent shows of artists and photographers as part of the ‘Jaguar Shoes Collective’.
