Locally brewed craft beers are now such a recognizable part of the furniture of London that it seems unthinkable that Camden Town Brewery only started officially brewing six years ago. While every square mile in London seems to have its own brewery, Camden Town boasts one of the most dependable pints in the city.
This weekend Camden Town Brewery are hosting a ‘Tank Party’ and, while no military vehicles will be present, they promise to serve 10,000 pints of unfiltered Hells Lager and Pale Ale. At the risk of sounding insufferable, you can’t beat beer straight from the tank.
If the prospect of fresh beer wasn’t enough (and it should be) there will be music, crafts, street food and brewery tours. To top it all off if you’re one of the first fifty people there, your midday pint will be free. If the sun is shining this weekend you could do a lot worse than heading down and you can make ‘piss-up in a brewery’ jokes to your hearts content.
