Milkshake Festival is one of the younger festivals, being organised by AIR and Paradiso since 2012. The primary target group of the festival is ‘all who love’, more specifically boys who love girls who love girls who love boys who love boys – understand what we’re saying?
The first edition of the festival was hugely successful; it even got awarded the Best One-Day Festival 2012. Milkshake was created to be an “everything is possible’’ dance event. The festival puts an end to narrow-mindedness and shows that music preference and choice of clothing have nothing to do with sexuality. Boys and girls, gay and straight, fat or skinny, white and black: they will all be one in this music-filled ‘milkshake’.
The festival grounds are divided into ten sections, with names like The Bear Garden and De Natte Poezenplek (“Wet Cat Spot”). Note that 85 artists will be performing, including Douwe Bob Sinclar, Erick E., Jean and The Flexican. Be sure to keep an eye on the website for more information on the after party!
You can buy your tickets at the festival website , at the official Facebook page
and at one of the 450 Primera shops. Unfortunately, the cheap early bird tickets of €32.50 a piece are already sold out. You can however still get a regular ticket, which costs €42.50.
