Have you booked your stay at Qbic Amsterdam for Amsterdam Fashion Week? Then make sure you visit the open-to-public programme “Downtown”, organized by the Mercedes-Benz FashionWeek Amsterdam (MBFWA), which is the official name of the event.
Of course the same goes for the opposite. Maybe you’re thinking about visiting the Amsterdam Fashion Week, but haven’t found a place to stay yet? Then you should definitely look into staying at our trendy budget hotel Qbic Hotel Amsterdam. It’s the place to be!
Can’t join the club at the end of January? No worries. You’ll get another shot at being there, as the Amsterdam Fashion Week is organised twice a year, in January and July.

The Amsterdam Fashion Week is different from the Paris or Milan Fashion Week, which both have international designers. In Amsterdam there’s mainly room for native Dutch and Belgian designers. Compared to its international counterparts, Amsterdam also has a completely different and particularly original layout.
Prior to the fashion shows on the catwalk, several public events called “10 Days Downtown” will take place from 18 January till 27 January. These events all have one thing in common: fashion.
The Downtown programme starts on Saturday 18 January in the Amsterdam Museum with the exhibition Fong Leng: Fashion & Art. The programme ends on Monday 28 January with Fashion Talks, an interview and tableau vivant (living picture) with fashion designer Winde Rienstra at the Stedelijk programme.
The complete programme of 10 Days Downtown can be found via this link.
