Do you like culinary surprises? While on holiday, do you prefer to grab a tasty bite from the local street vendor over a five-star restaurant? Then we’re sure you’ll feel right at home at the Westergas grounds in Amsterdam during the food truck extravaganza that is Rolling Kitchens (Rollende Keukens in Dutch). More than one hundred mobile restaurants, caravans, eccentric pizza delivery bikes, trailers, and other kitchens on wheels will serve up various delicacies, ranging from healthy snacks to deep-fried grasshoppers. This feast for your palate is sure to satisfy your culinary wanderlust.
Rolling Kitchens will be held at the Westergas grounds in Amsterdam from 13 to 17 May. This unique mobile festival features food trucks, picnic tables, and bands for you and your friends to enjoy. Our tip: Take enough cash because, mobile or not, you can’t pay with a bank card. The festival is not expensive, so you’ll have every opportunity to satisfy your culinary curiosity. Rolling Kitchens is a free festival and an absolute must if you’re in Amsterdam! The kitchen is open from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM on Wednesday and from 1:00 PM to 11:00 PM on Thursday to Sunday.
