Amsterdam is carrying out major work on the Zuidasdok from the end of June to the end of December 2024, widening and tunnelling the A10 motorway and completely renovating Zuid Station. As this also affects the accessibility of Qbic Hotel WTC Amsterdam, read all about how to reach the hotel during this period here. The hotel is right around the corner from the station and convenient to the motorway, albeit with some alternative directions at times.

Construction Activities and Noise Disturbance

Construction work will take place around Amsterdam Zuid station from 6 July to 25 August, which may cause noise disturbance, especially between 8 July and 20 July. Continuous work will be carried out, but noise-reducing measures will be implemented to minimize the disruption.

Alternative Travel Options

Consider using public transport or cycling for shorter distances within the city. The GVB will operate a modified metro schedule during this period, with an additional travel time of approximately 5 minutes. Please check www.ns.nl (train) or www.9292ov.nl (metro) before your journey.

Directions by car

From late June to mid-December 2024, parts of the A10 Zuid and/or A4 will be closed for eight weekends due to reconstruction work at the De Nieuwe Meer junction and the renovation of Amsterdam Zuid station, as part of the Zuidasdok project. These closures may cause significant traffic disruptions and delays of up to an hour. The closure dates are as follows:
